Strange Ghost Stories at the Old Sheep\'s Inn - Part 1

If the research about this old inn, situated just outside London, was to be believed, then we were in for a very strange night at this place.

The inn has been a public house since it was first built in the late 18th century. Our research told us that it\'s cellar, split into many rooms, was once used as a holding cell for prisoners as they were brought down to the courthouses in London.

Katherine decided that we should carry out our ghost investigation in this old inn when she found out that a lot of the prisoners held in the cellars never left alive. The current owners of the inn told Katherine about some of the ghost activity that kept them awake at night.

Glasses have being thrown off tables, tables and chairs have been moved in the night, and strange ghostly figures have been seen, but the thing that interested our ghost team the most, were the ghostly screams coming from down in the cellar. The staff at the inn refuse to go down there alone, often don\'t go down there at all in the evenings.

We began out ghost investigation in the bar of the inn. We placed a glass in the middle of the table surrounded by flour. When we would check back later, we would see clearly if it had been moved. Motion detectors were placed in the hallways, particularly between the bar and the cellar, to see if any ghost activity can be detected by the beams.

We brought Annabel in to give us her initial opinions of the inn. Walking into the bar, Annabel felt the residual energy of the past 300 years that still accumulated in the building. She told us of people and noises, the smell of ale, and laughing.

She was finding it very hard to concentrate, and had to stop just as she was about to tell us something that she was feeling. She quickly left to get some fresh air. We had never seen her react this way before and it came as quite shocking for the rest of the team.

After a short break, Annabel returned, and told us that while she had been talking about the energies in the bar, a spirit ghost had whispered in her ear telling her \"Those that will be judged will be done so here.\"

She then saw a visual image of a man being tied up to a pole in the basement and whipped to death. So shocking was the image that Annabel had needed to take five minutes out just to clear her head.

Now that she was back in however the ghostly images had returned. She informed us that the voice she was hearing was from one of the old patrons at the inn. \"Robert\". She told us that when criminals were bought here and held overnight some of the soldiers escorting the prisoners paid Robert to do away with the men so they could lay claim to the prisoners dying on the way down to London. The soldier\'s get paid and they could return home sooner than expected.

The Spirit at Temple House - Part 1

Through a local ghost hunting team that I have had regular correspondence with, I had heard about Temple House. The team had previously investigated the house and had found some interesting results. They had decided to go back in a few months time and asked if I would be interested in joining them along with my team. With a different team assessing the results it would be easier to verify the findings. This interested me a great deal.

Temple House is a very old building dating back to the early nineteenth century. It had originally been the home of a local dignitary. Even though the appearance from outside was of a building that had been standing a long time, the interior was different. It now housed newly refurbished offices and new equipment.

Dr Katherine Copeland carried out her routine tests as always and came back with very little in the way of any abnormal on either the thermometer or on the Gauss meter. She did warn us of the electromagnetic fields that would be a around due to the amount of equipment that was plugged in. We decided that the gauss meter would be pretty useless in these surroundings and decided against taking it with us.

Annabel Keogh, our spiritual medium tried to contact some of the spirits that may have been lurking around in the building, and this was where things started to get a little interesting.

She came back with the name "Alice Carruthers" - which was a name the previous team had come up with - who was a young girl that had been working as a maid to the original owner of the building. She had become pregnant by the owners son but, once she had informed her lover of this, had found herself being pushed down the stairs by the young man who had been worried about the affect this could have on his standing.

The team agree that we would carry out our investigation around the stairs after Ann had informed us that she felt no other presences in this building and that Alice was causing all the paranormal activity in a bid to let the living know she was there. Ann also said that she would help the young female spirit find her way to the other side when the investigation was over. With that in mind we set up the equipment and waited to see what the night had in store.

Download TV Programs You Will Enjoy

Another night sitting in front of the TV with nothing worthwhile to watch. Wouldn't it be great if you could download TV programs that you used to enjoy watching.

These days it seems that if you are not into crime shows, or reality TV, then there does not seem to be much of quality on offer. Remember some of the great old shows like The Adams Family, The Saint or Get Smart. They just don't seem to make good family orientated shows anymore.

There are many people who do not want to be shocked or disturbed by gruesome murders and graphic violence when they are trying to relax after a hard days work, and to call watching a group of obnoxious delinquents lazing about a house entertainment, makes a lot of us yearn for the old days of good viewable TV.

To answer the obvious question. Yes, there was violence in some of the old shows, but it was pretty unrealistic, and more importantly not created to specifically shock and distress the viewer. The average person is exposed to more than enough distressing information on TV news without having to be bombarded with it in the form of entertainment.

Strangely enough, the way out of this dilemma for us old fashioned viewers comes in the form of new technology. We can now find and download all those old favorite TV shows and movies very cheaply over the internet. This makes it possible to build up a library of old classics which can be taken out and watched whenever there is nothing worth watching on TV.

Being able to download TV programs will go a long way in making sitting in front of the TV an enjoyable past time once more.

The Childish Ghost - Part 2

We were informed through Annabel that the ghost's name was 'George'. We then asked George to move objects, or create any noise so that we would know he was there. The results were quite creepy. Emma, one of our team said that she heard a groan just to the side of her. Katherine investigated this area, and got a temperature reading a whole degree less than anywhere else in the room.

We thanked the ghost and asked for more activity, once again one of the other members of the team told us that they had just felt a small tug around their hip/leg area. Annabel claimed that this was indeed George playing around and that, in his childlike state of mind, was laughing at making us all jump!

George's ghost continued with more touching and whispering into people's ears, but we wanted to see more from George. We asked if he could throw one of the children's toys at us. We waited, but there was nothing in return. At this point we decided to retire. Annabel wanted to stay behind and help George over to the other side.

As we were leaving the room, we suddenly heard small thumping on one of the walls. Turning around, we found a small cuddly toy on the floor. Knowing that this could only be the work of the ghost, we re-entered and asked him to do the same thing again. Annabel asked if the ghost wanted us to go. He didn't, which got some the female members of the team aahing. I asked Annabel to tell him that we wouldn't leave if he would throw another cuddly toy on the floor for us.

We heard another bump in the corner of the room and when we looked we found another toy on the floor. When we approached, we could hear more bumping sounds coming from the area of the toy.

It was getting very late, so we agreed this was enough and it was time for us to leave. Annabel stayed behind to help George move on. We weren't sure if he would want to go though, but as Annabel later left, we could tell that she had been successful. She gave the mother a big hug goodbye and she seemed very pleased with her success.

Katherine Copeland agreed that some of the activity had been very exciting, but disappointing in the fact that we had not experienced any ectoplasm that had been reported there. If she had found some, it would have convinced her a little more.

I felt it had been an interesting night for the team, and the toys being thrown when we asked for them, was fascinating. I think it was a very successful nights work for the team.

Download Movies for Free - A Hot Issue

The Internet is used by a lot of people to download movies and various other soft wares for free. The legality of this practice is, and will be for a long time, a hot issue. Some countries want to totally stop the downloading of copyright protected materials, like the U.S.A. Other countries, like France, want to allow this type of downloading, but only for personal use. And there are quiet a few countries who do not care at al. The Internet has no borders, and it will be a very long time before all the counties of the world have agreed on how to legislate this music, movies and games downloading.

Of course there is an ethical issue. A lot of people consider the downloading, for free, of copy right protected material as theft. I have heard all the arguments by now. I did hear them in the 70's when cassette recorders became available and very popular. I heard them when CD writers became available and I hear them now when downloading over the Internet is becoming more and more popular.

In my opinion it is theft if you copy anything and sell it. If you copy CD's for your own use, that is o.k. with me. I have noticed that I, and a lot of people I know as well, still buy the "real thing" if we like it, and I also have noticed that I am getting selective.

I hardly buy anything anymore from the real top performers. I think they simply earn enough as it is. If I come along a new group I like I usually copy a few songs, and I might go out and score their CD if I really like them. I noticed that I must have been doing this for a long time.
I had a look at my CD's and saw that most of the originals were indeed the earlier work of a certain group. If I had more of them, it were usually copies. I had downloaded some how from the Internet.

I know there are quit a few people who use this "selective downloading". A friend of mine loves the music of a certain performer, but, as he told me, he refuses to pay for his records. He refuses to contribute a single penny towards the legal team that is defending this guy in a child molest case. He has downloaded the music of this performer, for free, from the Internet.

But all this free downloading has a downside. A lot of people are having computer problems because they downloaded something from the Internet. The Internet is a jungle and there are a lot of predators around that are searching for their prey. Predators like spy ware / ad ware .
Little programs that you sometimes download as well and that hide on your computer without you knowing it. Some can be very harmful indeed, like the so called key loggers. These programs "remember" every keystroke you make, and send this info to their "owners". This way sensitive info, like passwords or credit card numbers, can get in the hands of the wrong people.

I advice every one who wants to download music, movies, games or any other program for free from the Internet to be very careful. Make sure your computer has very good spy-and ad ware protection, and when in doubt, do not download. If you are not a very experienced Internet user than the best way to download music, full length movies, games and various soft wares for free is to get a download site membership. These download sites will provide you with the right soft ware to search for, and download, all sorts of files from the Internet. They also provide a helpdesk in case you run into difficulties and need some assistance.

Is Crowley Hall really Haunted?

A property developer in England has had to stop work on the housing development at Crowley Hall, after claims of mysterious paranormal happenings.

Steven Newton of Manchester, UK had recently purchased Crowley Hall intending to turn it into flats and had begun work in early 2006. It had previously been reported in the newspapers that his team of workers found enough bones for four human bodies, hidden in an alcove behind a fireplace. Steven claims it was just after this that the haunting began.

\"It has reached a point where some of the occurrences have got so bad, that the builders I brought in have downed tools, and refused to come back. Obviously rumours spread and I am finding it hard to get workers in.\"

An anonymous worker told us about the work he was doing on the flooring, when his toolbox slid across the floor and smashed against the wall. Some workers have also been pushed over by unseen forces. One of the workers was almost pushed down the stairs during a violent occurrence. It was when somebody found that they had been bitten, that it was decided to stop work there. Steven has had to call in experts to try and find the source of all the disturbances.

\"I called a team of ghost hunters after the police told me they could do nothing. To be honest, I think they thought me and the workers I employed were mad.\"

Crowley Hall was built in the late nineteenth century and has had its share of controversy over the years. Built as a hospital, then later becoming a mental asylum, it ceased serving this purpose when its founder, Dr. Bernard Leys, died of a heart attack while performing an operation on one of his patients. After this incident, rumours emerged about how Dr. Leys was carrying out unsanctioned tests his patients. This has never been verified, due to a fire that broke out at the Hall and destroying all of his notes and records.

Crowley Hall was left abandoned for many years, later to re-open as a children\'s hospital in 1970. During this time, there were many paranormal incidents recorded. It has been suggested that a spiritual medium was brought to the hall to cleanse it, and remove the evil spirits. Paranormal activity seemed to cease after this. Eventually, a bigger hospital was opened nearby, and all the patients were moved there and the hall closed down once again.

Steven purchased the property in 2005, and until recently wasnt really a believer in the paranormal. He hopes that if the ghost hunters can help to explain whats going on at the hall, then he might not only be able to get back to work, but also understand a little bit more of the afterlife.

\"All I want is to know what is exactly going on in that place, and hopefully it will stop me feeling like I am going mad.\"

New Ghost Film produced by small British Film Company

An independent British Film Company based in London, UK, are producing a Feature Film on the paranormal activity at Crowley Hall. Walrus Films are a small film company that have produced short films and music videos up until now. This is their first venture into the World of Independent Feature Film Production.

The paranormal incidents were first brought to the attention of Walrus Films when ghost investigator Arron Kasady decided that he would make a documentary about the hauntings there. The Film Company saw this as a chance to produce the documentary and present it as a feature film, with Daren Marc directing.

Scheduled for release around Halloween 2007, the film makers are going to use the internet to sell the 'The Ghosts of Crowley hall' to the World, and are taking intending on playing Hollywood at their own game. The internet presents new selling opportunities that have not yet been exploited in full by film makers.

Big Hollywood Companies possess budgets that Walrus Films cannot compete with. However, the internet levels the playing field to some degree, and gives more opportunities to the smaller independent film companies to compete with the big names.

It is now possible to reach a World-wide market through the internet, and reach an audience that had been previously inaccessible to the low-budget film maker. Websites are cheap to set-up and many are now free, and with advertising being accessible to anybody on a modest budget, it is now possible to reach a mass market.

Walrus Films are using popular video sharing websites such as YouTube and MySpace to promote their film, using video clips and trailers.

Sales through the internet and becoming the norm, particularly in entertainment such as DVD. Outlets such as Play.com and Amazon will be their shop to the World as these filmmakers sell 'The Ghosts of Crowley Hall' to anybody who wants to see it.

It will be interesting too see how the film market develops in this new arena, as focus shifts away from the costly methods of theatrical distribution, and into the realm of internet marketing and video-on-demand services. Will 'The Ghosts of Crowley Hall' be able to make its mark on the World through the internet? Or will it merely go un-noticed in the ever increasing stream of video internet traffic?

Some General Reviews on Home Theaters

If you're in the market for a new wireless home theater system, you can purchase a complete system consisting of an amplifier with built-in transmitter, a front center speaker, two front side speakers, a subwoofer, and two rear surround-sound speakers. If you already have a home theater system you can purchase an add-on system consisting of a transmitter, a receiver, and surround-sound speakers if you don't already have them. You can choose to have a more elaborate system which may include adding a special room for your home theater, or you may prefer to go more simple with just the basics combined with what you already have.

If you are looking at using your home theater system as a gaming tool too, then you should take your gaming system to the store to test it out. Features of the most optional setup for your home theater system are available in these magazines, which will help you make the most of your arrangement. It is generally agreed by home theater professionals that the size of the room where you will install the home theater system is an important consideration.

Keep in mind that most home theater receivers are packaged with speakers that match the performance of the receiver. An excellent manufacturer of surround sound, the SRS Labs has developed patented surround sound technology for the home entertainment market, along with others. Kenny Hemphill is the editor and publisher of The HDTV Tuner, a site which aims to cut through the confusion surrounding HDTV and provide surfers with up to date, accurate and easy to read information on HDTV.

Matching the projection screen gain with the ambient light and the video projector output is essential if you want to ensure that you will end up with a correct level of projected image brightness. For a matte white projector screen surface with a screen gain of one, this translates to a minimum of 10 foot-Lamberts in terms of light ?reflected? from the screen for image brightness. The gain of a projector screen is the increase in brightness of the image produced compared to a flat matt white screen.

There is a wide range of video projector screens available in the market. The best way to get an idea of the electric projector screens is to have a look at the types of the screens that are available in the present day market. Is the projector really compatible for the uses that are needed or is the salesman or dealer just trying to push a product off on the consumer? Knowing which projectors are better for what types of displays is something that the dealer may not even know about.

So someone came up with the idea of making wireless surround sound speakers instead. Some surround sound speaker systems are coming with only the two rear speakers setup as wireless. Weather proofing can cause a muffled sound, though in the backyard, acoustics and audiophile quality sound are generally not the main concern anyway, of these can significantly reduce the range of wireless speakers.

With rooms with known acoustical echoes (hard surfaces, such as marble), they might suggest using remote broadcast speakers and using a time delay on one set of speakers. Like an excellent home theater system Bowers & Wilkins Home Theater Speakers generally consist of five or more speakers known as 5. Bose's 3-2-1 system means that two Bose Articulated Array speakers are used instead of five, producing excellent surround sound quality and boasting a multi-channel output.

At present, hundreds of in-wall speakers with state of the art features are available in the market. A recent addition in the field of in-wall speakers, in-wall surround sound speaker systems form a perfect match for your home d'cor. In-wall speakers with surround speaker system can be referred to as an audio system that involve the application of subwoofers, volume controls, cables, and two or more speakers including a rear speaker.

Download New Movies and Never Have to Wait in Line Again

I don\'t know how many people can remember back in the really olden days of television and movies. It used to be if you missed a movie in the cinema, you would have to wait for it to come out on television, and that is if you were lucky. If it was a popular movie, you could just about guarantee that you would get to see it soon enough in your local theater or wait for it to on TV as Saturday night at the movies.

Those days are over, dead, and long gone. No longer do you have to wait in line at a movie that charges exorbitant prices not only for admittance, but for the snacks as well. It is an outrage what a person has to pay in order for the Hollywood studio to make back its budget.

What You Can Do?

With software that is for free and new movie releases being sold for a song if not a dance, it is easy to download new movies. It is up to the discriminating up loader if they think that what is available these days is worth spending time, effort and maybe jail time if they are caught doing things illegally. We know that there are thousands, if not more nave people ready to believe sometimes that it is just too good too be true. These kinds of people are so wrapped up in the quick fix; they cant see the forest for the trees.

There are many sites you can explore, browse and download new movies for a small fee or for totally free. If you are not too picky about what the hottest movies are, download new movies may be just the boost you needed in order to get your CD library started. Before you know it, with new movies download, it has never been easier to have the perfect video library that can please every member of your family from the littlest baby with Baby Einstein, to toddlers and grandparents joining in on some Disney songs. Hey, you never know unless you try.
