Strange Ghost Stories at the Old Sheep\'s Inn - Part 1

If the research about this old inn, situated just outside London, was to be believed, then we were in for a very strange night at this place.

The inn has been a public house since it was first built in the late 18th century. Our research told us that it\'s cellar, split into many rooms, was once used as a holding cell for prisoners as they were brought down to the courthouses in London.

Katherine decided that we should carry out our ghost investigation in this old inn when she found out that a lot of the prisoners held in the cellars never left alive. The current owners of the inn told Katherine about some of the ghost activity that kept them awake at night.

Glasses have being thrown off tables, tables and chairs have been moved in the night, and strange ghostly figures have been seen, but the thing that interested our ghost team the most, were the ghostly screams coming from down in the cellar. The staff at the inn refuse to go down there alone, often don\'t go down there at all in the evenings.

We began out ghost investigation in the bar of the inn. We placed a glass in the middle of the table surrounded by flour. When we would check back later, we would see clearly if it had been moved. Motion detectors were placed in the hallways, particularly between the bar and the cellar, to see if any ghost activity can be detected by the beams.

We brought Annabel in to give us her initial opinions of the inn. Walking into the bar, Annabel felt the residual energy of the past 300 years that still accumulated in the building. She told us of people and noises, the smell of ale, and laughing.

She was finding it very hard to concentrate, and had to stop just as she was about to tell us something that she was feeling. She quickly left to get some fresh air. We had never seen her react this way before and it came as quite shocking for the rest of the team.

After a short break, Annabel returned, and told us that while she had been talking about the energies in the bar, a spirit ghost had whispered in her ear telling her \"Those that will be judged will be done so here.\"

She then saw a visual image of a man being tied up to a pole in the basement and whipped to death. So shocking was the image that Annabel had needed to take five minutes out just to clear her head.

Now that she was back in however the ghostly images had returned. She informed us that the voice she was hearing was from one of the old patrons at the inn. \"Robert\". She told us that when criminals were bought here and held overnight some of the soldiers escorting the prisoners paid Robert to do away with the men so they could lay claim to the prisoners dying on the way down to London. The soldier\'s get paid and they could return home sooner than expected.

The Little Child Ghost - Part 2

We were informed through Annabel that the ghost\'s name was \'George\'. We then asked George to move objects, or create any noise so that we would know he was there. The results were quite creepy. Emma, one of our team said that she heard a groan just to the side of her. Katherine investigated this area, and got a temperature reading a whole degree less than anywhere else in the room.

We asked if George could do anything else for us, and another member of the team felt a tugging around their leg and hip area, although only very slightly. Annabel informed us that this was indeed George, who was enjoying playing around with us and making us all jump.

The ghost of George continued with his games on touching, making small, soft bumps and whispering noises in peoples ears, but we wanted more, so we asked ghost if he could throw one of the children of the house\' toys at us. We got nothing in return. With the night wearing on I decided to call it a day. Annabel wanted to help George move on and this was something she preferred to do alone.

As we were leaving the room we heard a small thump against one of the walls, turning we found a small cuddly toy on the ground. Knowing that this could only be the work of the ghost, we re-entered and asked him to do the same again. Annabel asked if George wanted us to go, he didn\'t, which got some the female members of the team aahing. I got Annabel to tell him that we wouldn\'t leave if he would throw another cuddly toy.

HEY PRESTO! We heard another small bump from another corner of the room. Once again a toy was lying on the ground. As we investigated this certain act we heard repeated bumps from the area of the toy.

We all agreed that as it was getting late, it was time for us to leave the house and go home. Annabel stayed to help the ghost to the other side, which a lot of us questioned whether he would actually want to go. As Annabel left the house with a big smile on her face, and the mother of the household giving her a hug goodbye, we knew that Annabel had been successful in helping the ghost spirit move on.

Katherine Copeland agreed that some of the activity had been very exciting, but disappointing in the fact that we had not experienced any ectoplasm that had been reported there. If she had found some, it would have convinced her a little more.

I had been fascinated by the fact that we were able to get the ghost to throw the toys for us when we asked him to. I think it was a very enjoyable experience for the whole team.

The Ghostly Shed - part 1

This was an interesting little investigation. We received a call from a family from the north of England claiming that there was a spirit haunting their garden shed! Far be it for the team to ignore the pleas of a distressed family, so myself, and the team's spiritualist medium Annabel Keogh jumped into a car and made our way to this supposed shed of terror!

The family that lived there told us that objects often go missing in the garden, only to turn up in the shed a few days later. Apparently this had been going on for some time now. They also wake up at night and hear strange banging coming from the shed, often noticing that the shed light is being switched on and off.

The final straw came when their 6-year-old daughter claimed to have seen an old man looking out of the shed window at her while she was playing in the garden. The family could take no more and called us.

As this investigation was in such a small location, we decided that it would only be Annabel and myself that was needed. We turned up at the house and questioned the family about any other paranormal activity that may have occurred in other parts of the house. Sadly, there were none. All the paranormal phenomena seemed to be coming from the shed.

I was quite excited about this ghost investigation, and I had never come across anything like this before in my 3 years of hunting ghosts. Even this was a low-key investigation, I wondered what we might find there.

I only brought the bear minimum of equipment with me. There would be no point in bringing along the temperature reader as this was going to be a cold night in November, and as there was electrical wiring in the shed, the EMF reader would be completely useless.

I set up the small video camera outside the shed to capture movement, and had the other handheld with me. Annabel had the still camera and was taking photographs. Apart from a couple of small orbs, nothing else was caught on the stills, to my disappointment.

We heard a small thump from the corner of the shed. At this point, Annabel started to try and make contact with the spirit. A Dictaphone was placed in the corner so that it could pick up any sounds emanating from that part.
